Upgrade Speaker Packages (B&W) and Amp (Onkyo / Pioneer)

In anticipation of the WHF awards later this week, I would appreciate some thought/s behind current speaker packages available. I currently have a well served set of KEF 2005.2 (along with the PSW 2010 sub). I’m currently looking at upgrading to the B&W 684 or 685 Theatre or the MT-30.

Has anyone wall mounted the surround 686’s? Any issues to be aware of??

In terms of powering speakers currently have a Sony STR-DA1200ES, but looking again at upgrading, either to Onkyo (609) or Pioneer (LX55). Any thoughts on matching the above or additional suggestions would be welcomed.

Looking forward to the Manchester Show this coming weekend.

Hello ZiggyBray,

I have the B&W 685 Theatre with the ASW610 sub and use an Onkyo 905 to drive them and the combination is fantastic and immersive for movies. The 685 and 686 have brackets on the back for wall mounting but I use stands. Hope this helps.
