Hi everyone,

i need some advice here.. i have Monitor Audio BR2, Rotel RA-04 Amp, Cyrus CD6s CDP, with Audioquest Diamond Back Interconnect, I currently Biwire my speaker with Audioquest Type 4 for the high and Wireworld Stream for low signal. I feel the sound is not optimal in the low area. The high and mid is quite good (for my taste).

What kind of upgrade can i do without do some major change in my current system?

Maybe I sould try bi amping? what kind of amp should do you recomend?

Or maybe you have another solution..

Thanks

Are the speakers on decent stands??

Maybe experiment with the
position of the speakers??

Maybe change the speaker cables around to
see if it makes any difference??

If you are not happy with the lows then I would look into getting a sub rather than bi-amping.

I am currently using a pair of wooden stand fill with sand.

Do you have any recomendation what kind of sub should i use? because i'hv heard adding the wrong sub can make the sound become "wrong" and artificial.

Try repositioning the speakers, see if a different angle suits them better in the room. The cable is fine - I use the same Type 4 and it's got a good balance to it, for the money, you won't better it, particularly if you like the mids and highs. My suggestion would be to use it for both the treble and the lower end as well. Not sure what the Wireworld is like, but I use the Audioquest with Mission 752s and they work well together.
