Upgrade, for marantz cd17 ki sig

I have a Marantz Cd 17 Ki sig which has a problem on the disk tray mech the cd player stil works ok it still sounds good

but I think its time to upgrade.

the rest of the system Original Audiolab 8000a plus 8000px bi amped plus Mssion 752s

is it worth going for the Plinus cd player and upgrading the audiolab and missions later with the plinus amp plus speakers ?

I'd get the quote on fixing the Marantz, define what you feel is wrong with the current sound that isn't ticking your boxes and what the Plinius will bring based on the sonic character. The PM17-KI was a superb source back then and it still is now. It might be that you need to upgrade your amp first and see how that brings the changes. The speakers will withstand many an upgrade for a while; superb boxes for the money from Mission's golden era.

Hi I have tryed to get marantz repaired it cost me £80 only to be told that they could not get the part. I would be quite happy to get

Marantz repaired and upgrade interconnects .
