Hello

I recently bought a whole new system consisting of a Rega P3,Rotel RA-04,Marantz CD6002 and B&W 685's with QED Silver Anniversary cable.

Since doing, this despite the fact it sounds great, I have been drooling over various amps and cd players. ( like most of us!! ) and the arrival of an unexpected £700 pounds is pushing me towards buying a Roksan Kandy LIII. Could anyone tell me if this would 'outclass' any of my other components and should I just be content with what I've got!!!!

Thanks

Leo

Upgrading to either the Kandy player or amp would be wasted in that system. Go with a better player and the amp and speakers would be a constraining factor; improve the amp and the player and speakers would hold things back.

Stick with what you have - it's a good, well-balanced set-up.

I will, thanks for that Andrew. Just out of curiosity what system would you build around the Roskan Amplifier?

Well IMHO I wouldn't build a system around the Roksan amplifier, but were you to go for it I'd choose the matching player, and speakers such as the Monitor Audio GS10s or PMC DB1is.

I'd probably be thinking more of Naim CD5i/Nait 5i/PMC GB1is, myself...

The Kandy would be a great partner for Rega's Apollo CD player - the B&Ws would actually fare OK in that set-up (with a very sturdy stand supporting them), but better still would be next-step up speakers from Dali, ATC etc...
