Twitter and Bass down on B&W 685

Hello,

I recently bought second hand b&w 685 speakers. They sounded really nice for months but since last week I realised that the twitter and basses are not working anymore. The other speaker is still perfect. I tried to switch the cables but did not change anything. I use them with a Yamaha AS500.

Do you know by any chance for which reason that could happen ? I also know that the electricty power in my flat is a bit variable but the amp should protect them from it no ?

Are you sure it's your speaker and not your amp? Switch the speakers and test again. Something seriously would have had to happen to blow a speaker entirely as you suggest.
