Twister Blu-ray a pain!!!

I just picked 'Twister' up on Blu-ray for £13 at Blockbuster - it's a film I quite like, don't own on DVD and hadn't seen in years.

I've heard stories of glitchy BDs, but this has to be my first one. The thing takes FOREVER to load in my BD80 (and I definitely blame the disc, not the player). After the Universal logo and language selection, there's a blank screen for almost 4 minutes until the menu finally arrives.

And what's worse is how temperamental it can be in fast-forward/rewind - get a little too quick with the remote and the disc simply crashes, leaving you to endure another 5-minute or so wait for the disc to start up all over again! Granted, my BD80's slow and clunky FF/R system doesn't help matters here, but still this is by far the worst Blu-ray disc I have yet encountered when it comes to glitches.

Can anyone suggest any other discs that I should stay well away from?

Is the sound a big improvement on the dvd. I have the region 1 dts version and it sounds fantastic. I can't imagine the bass get anymore extreme to be honest.

I found the duvet cover more entertaining:

I challenge you to find a longer loading Blu Ray then CASINO. 8 minutes. Loads for ages then asks you for a Language. Loads even longer then shows you the warning. Loads longer again then you get to the start up menu. Loads a short time more then starts the movie.

I don't remember Casino being a particularly arduous Blu-ray loader - do remember how great it looked/sounded, though

Maybe i'm just getting used to BD foibles! (I certainly don't get 100% ready to watch a movie before I pop in the disc....)

That's definitely the key I reckon - put in the disc, then go and prepare drink / snack or something. Leads to a reduced stress life I find!
