Turntable cable into amp

I had my turntable wall unit moved recently and have forgotten where in the back of my Naim Nait 5si amplifier my cable from my turntable goes.

Also, while moving the turntable, my tonearm gently dropped onto the deck of thevturnable once, but gently. Have I damaged the stylus?

The Nait 5i doesn't have an inbuilt phono stage as far as I am aware. What is your turntable?
If that has an inbuilt phono stage then you can plug it into any connector at the back.
I doubt you have damaged the stylus but only a visual inspection and actually playing something will tell

I have a Well Tempered Simplex 2 turntable and a Dynavector P75 v4 phono stage. No sound at all is coming from my turntable.

Hi, depending on how hard was the hit which got your stylus, it could be demaged. From my experience, when stylus or cartridge "gets broken" some awkward sound or whistle is occuring. If possible try another cartridge on out TT, to exclude other possible failures.

I have a Well Tempered Simplex 2 turntable and a Dynavector P75 v4 phono stage. No sound at all is coming from my turntable.

Then check correct input is selected on your amp and, if necessary, try another pair of sockets

From what you described shouldn´t had damaged the stylus but as already said ,a visual inspection would show how the stylus tip is,

i myself had a new substitution needle for my Grado Prestige Gold III, and when already listening to a record i had to increase the anti-skating just a litle bit to sound perfect,

only the headshel metalic handler(or whatever is called in English) got stuck in my sleeve when i noticed it ,it made the arm fall and before i could grab it falled twice in the record ,

enough to make the tip turn to the left of the it´s perpendicular postion, so i guess i destroyd it, but what you describe seems not to cause damage ,

only today the stylus tip is a lot more weak than in the past, before the 2000´s i remember it hapening once and didn´t cause damage to the stylus tip,

it was a Shure cartridge, the N95E or similar not sure about the reference, still have old stylus that are totally diferent in the size of the tip , also a lot more hours of use compared to today regular MM stylus.

As it happens, my dealer is visiting me shortly, as I have purchased a new amplifier, a Soul Note A1 and he is setting it up for me.

Also, recently, while playing a CD , one of my speakers has gone dead. I have all the cables in the right places and have not even taken them out of the positions my dealer put them in 8 years ago. I have not played the music loudly at all. Not sure what is going on there.
