Some interesting things in 'X', second hand shop in Kingston at the moment, including a nice looking Garrard 401 with SME arm, Audiolab, Aura, old Naim, and an iMerge which tempted me greatly at 175 quid...

Shouldn't you be saving up for your kids' Christmas presents John?

And Ruark Sabres for £175 and £195 (Kingston and Hammersmith)

My six-year-old wants nothing more than a MF pre-power combo for Christmas, I'm sure of it.

It doesn't look at all like a Krell - if it wasn't for the badge, I wouldn't have known. It's a very, very old pre-amp - would love to hear it, just for curiosity's sake,..

Very fine speakers at a fair price, if in good condition. Unfussy'ish about placement (IB) and easy to power. Almost furniture quality. Had them on custom made granite stands with valve amplification and still remember that system fondly. I'd guess they still hold their own today and good enough for some serious equipment.
