hammill:Increbibles? Is that a cartoon version of the old testament, complete with a flying Moses?

No, it's a sci-fi/horror in which churchgoers everywhere wake up one Sunday to find they've all been turned into giant books.

Your ability to locate appropriate images is remarkable. I think it would be a good plan if all the theists and deists had to wear such a costume, you would know the were coming and refuse to answer the door.

No need - whether or not you answered, in that costume they wouldn't fit through the door anyway.

gel: nope not in the slighest cars,

Ah, well, perhaps there's hope for you yet (and yes that was supposed to sound condescending that time...).

The Incredibles is far and away my fave of all the N.W.O.A.M (New Wave Of Animated Movies).

Why no Blu-Ray yet though?
emotion-40.gif

Pixar are unique in as much as they have never made a bad film.

Very true.

I dunno, CARS was getting there and if I had to choose between A Bug's Life and Antz, I'd be going with Woody (Allen) every time, Antz ROCKED! In fact I'd go as far as saying it's the best digimation Dreamworks have ever done (I loathe Shrek and the rest of them...).

What other the fact i can't even spell it

well it was better the wall e i give it that and yes i think wall e does require patience, from i can recall there is no words at all for most of the beginning part, i just got fed up with it.

Incredibles i just did not get drawn into it as much as say toy story, the picture and the sound was good but that was about it for me.

Yep ratatouille is class and the sound is out of this world for the first 20 minutes or so.

Cheers.

Such a shame you didn't stick it out, gel - Wall-E is one of the best Pixar films in my opinion - just slightly bettered by Up.

Mind you, I've yet to see The Incredibles.

My fave as it's the most realistic..... Well.... More realistic than talking toasters and dinosaurs and such anyway. A cross between a Bond film & X-men.

Yes you ought to give Wall-E another go Gel and try to stick it out. It might just be worth it.

Why, just because nobody's talking? I despair, I really do...

I'm guessing you just LOVE 2001 then...

Or 'Le Mans'.

All this chat has made me want to watch Incredibles tonight....... I'm just a bit worried about using the new BD player in my Wife's presence.

I have been thinking about this (i know careful) and Cast Away is a film i really liked and that went long parts without any talking.

So perhaps it's not all about that here, i just don't know why.

I didn't really get Wall-E, which is odd because I usually love films like that. I reckon I just wasn't in the right mood when I saw it - I'm a bit odd like that - so I've just put it back on my LoveFilm rental list, and I'll give it another go.

All this talk of Wall-E and no mention of poor Burn-E. That has to be one of the best tie shorts Pixar has done. Up there with Mike's New Car
