Thorens TAS1500 & AT-OC9

Dear TT lovers,

Happy owner of a Thorens TD-1500, I am curious about the TAS-1500 cartridge dedicated to the same TT.

No feedback on the web except on comparisons with the famous and appreciated AT-OC9. Both are competing in the 700€ areas.

Precisely, Thorens are not reknown as cartridge manufacturers.
It appears similar to the OC9xsl.

Thorens is just a Trademark these days. nothing To do with the Thorens old highly respected company
They hired Helmut Thiele to design all there products & get them built in China

Thiele does build TTs in EU

Not my misguided opinion. He has said on numerous occasions that the Chinese turntables are only good for landfill.

Again, it is not a Chinese turntable

I have read after this topic that going back a few years that Thorens do have their modern turntables made in China but more than likely designed in Germany. Take Cambridge Audio their stuff is designed in the UK but built in China and there is nothing wrong with their products.
