Firstly have to say that The Dark Knight was in no way superior or indeed as entertaining as the original 1989 Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson movie. Granted It was a good film but Tim Burton's 1989 classic is still the best with Keaton and Nicholson retaining their crowns as the best Batman and Joker and if Nicholson couldn't pick up the Oscar for his Joker then why should Leger...or is it a thing with Hollwood that just because someone 'passes on' they have to be considered for a posthumous Oscar? Leger was a good Joker but as said Nicholson surpasses Leger's performance with ease
Having said this, can someone explain why the picture size automatically changes from in the main a 14.9 letterbox to full 16.9 essentially when Batman is shown on tall buildings or when you see City Shots throughout the film?
