The cost of Euro 6 Diesel emissions control:

£564 (parts and labour) to clear dashboard warning lights, 3 of them! Needed a new Adblue pump to do it. We have a good trustworthy garage within easy walking distance and, online, the pump alone is around £640...

I'm really not into battery cars but this supercar from BYD is insane, I wonder if Gates will get shipment of these! 😏

See what happens when you start sanctioning Xiaomi smart phones, they move on and start making 'Smart Cars'

High performance EVs have become stupidly fast. With the level of EV depreciation, it won't be long they become accessible to young lads. A 2 tonne+ car that can hit 60 in under 3.5 seconds, on worn budget tyres, being driven by a fearless young idiot, is quite a worrying prospect.

There's always been fearless young idiots, the Darwin Evolution theory doesn't work for them, I suppose it's the moronic genes that stop them from evolving 🙂

Am I right in thinking F1 2025 cars have two battery engines as well as conventional turbo engine. It looks like they're gradually moving over to full electric.

Give it a couple of years, and nobody will do more than 10mph due to potholes!

Electric Cars all look the same no character no soul and no gears = Boring .
I tend to agree.

It's also fallacy that EVs are better for the environment, they just have a different set of problems than combustion engines. EVs have a big hit on the National Grid, so we're burning more fossil fuel and, there is no best way to safely dispose the toxic batteries unless you rocket them out into space.

Clean hydrogen fuel or green bio-degradable fuel engine cars is the way forward, unless someone can make cold fusion or plasma energy safe?

Whilst I don't want one, I think you'd be hard pressed to say that the Lotus Evija looks like a Tesla, or the Hyundai iONIQ 5N - the last of which does have virtual gears.

The auto press seems to think that EVs are getting better and becoming more engaging, but I'm hoping my ICE will see me out.

My Alfa specialist suggested my 156 is the last Alfa to drive like you would expect an Alfa to drive....

The Giulietta and Giulia drive more like a German car. No idea what he meant as he walked off into the service bay.

All I do know, my car still drives beautifully....

Night time shot.
