Thanks to all that posted to me (Messiah) and to the Editorial Team of WHF for their reviews and general advice.

I've been toying between separates and all-in-one. The info I slowly gleamed from this forum and WHF was invaluable. I have learnt more about Audio and such in the past 7 days than in 41 years, but unfortunately I suffered brain overload.

The Wife had enough of me going on and on (in her words), so she took control...! I am now expecting delivery on Friday of the Pioneer LX01. Must admit for £869 I carn't really complain and unlike most of you're good selves I'm not quite ready for the separates experience.

I will be interested in your thoughts on the LX01, I too have been looking at this system but was not too sure about is music capabilities.

Have you any knowledge on the quality of the HDMI and Speaker cables?. The shop suggested I upgrade but being a sceptic about shop motives, unsure.

As for the HDMI and speaker cables - maybe you can borrow some and see if the expense is justified.
