Hi people, just bought a second hand Cambridge azur 640a v1. Can anybody tell me if a Technics SH-8046 graphic equalizer can be hooked up to the amp. Cambridge tell me this is not possible, which I find hard to believe. First post so take it easy on me people. Thanks in advance.

you can try connect 2 sets of rca cables to "tape out" and "tape in" connections to equalizer

You need to connect the output of the equaliser to the tape monitor input of the amp. Then the tape monitor output of the amp into the input of the equaliser.

Aactivate the tape monitor switch to hear the equaliser.

There is only the tape in on the back of the amp no out , Plus rec in 1 and rec out 2. Also pre-out. I'm not sure which connections to use . Any ideas.

Hi bluejohn.

Just thought I would let you know that the "rec out" sockets on the back of your amp are the same as "tape out", it's just a new name.

Hope this helps.
