Hi all.

I've been given a Teac A-R610 amplifier, which if I switch out of standby only stays on for a second before going back into standby.
Can anyone suggest what could be causing this, or provide a fix?
Thanks!

I've checked all the connections, and there is no problem there.

Not sure mate, but you could always try dropping it into a repair engineer, have them check over the internals and give you a quote to fix. Avoid the ones who'll charge you something before even opening the lid. Been burnt by that one once (and he was rubbish) - never again. Might just be a loose connection inside.

Thanks for the reply, and I will be getting an engineer to have a look.

I had a look around inside and there is one fuse inside. I took this out, and the amp came out of standby OK, but there is no sound. Put the fuse back in, and the original problem came back.
