I see the Tannoy F1 5.1 for sale for £370 which seems somewhat of a bargain even though it is with the TS10 not 12. But ..is the technology now outdated and so is it better looking at an up to date package like Q-Acoustics or Boston ?

Difficult to listen to these as they are on sale a fair distance from me.

I just bought these!!!

but with the F3 floorstanders instead for £410. Superfi do deliver for free you know?

Cost £1100 brand new, might be a bit old now but you're getting £700+ off the new price. I was going to buy some Mordaunt Short Alumni's but even by posting on here i had WHF person telling me to go for the Tannoy's.

Got it set up with an Onkyo AV and it sounds GREEEEEEEEEEAT!!!

Go for it!

The F3;s are the same size as my old mordaunt short 914's and the bookshelves are smaller than my old MS902's.

The Sub is square with the spearker on the bottom. It's fine too.

The Centre is Big though. Depth wise.

Awesome bit of kit for the price.

I got the F1 package and love them. I asked a very similar quiestion to you and was advised to go for the F1's. Absolute steal at the price.

Well done Erby, we made a great choice in my opinion! First time i let my head rule my heart and glad i did. The F1's got awesome reviews (5*), I just like Floorstanders so went for the F3 package. And with free delivery...it's a no brainer!

Thanks guys, All i gotta do now is persuade the missus .That big centre worries me as she has already seen the Bostons with the tiny centre speaker when I picked up my V667 . But I do need a new Sub anyway as my old one is passive and so doesnt work .

Thanks again , my wallet is trying to get out of my pocket......

Worst case scenario, she doesn't like them. Turn it up and you won't hear the nagging! No, seriously, the Sub alone is worth £300, type it into google shopping and see for yourself. If she can't get on with them then you could sell all the speakers and keep the Sub.

[EDITED BY MODS - no trading please]
