Hi all,

Currently my master bedroom is under renovation and in the process of concealing surround speaker cables. The height of the wall is 3m and at the moment I placed the surround and back surround at height of 2.6m from ground.

I read somewhere that best position would be 2 or 3 feet above sitting position (ear level) and that would be approximately anything below 2m. If it were you would you move them to 2m? Does it really matters?

And I believe all the 4 surround / back surround have to be on the same level? Please help as I need to tell the contractors what to do.

Cheers.

I have mine half a foot from the top of my head.

They are surround, not direct, so the need to be above head hight, but thats me.

Hi canada16 & bigboss,

Thanks for the replies. Bigboss, I am aware of your setup and I must admit that I can't stop loving it! Actually I am able to bring them downwards but not all as one of it is being blocked by air-cond. Either being below or above the air cond.

Perhaps I will talk to the contractors and see what they say.

The higher they are the fuller the surround stage will be, menie are at 2.6m High and sound really great and fill the room much better then when they where lower.
