Subwoofer - High Level input on SVS SB1000 Pro from Yamaha AV RX-A880

Hi all,

I bought 1 month ago a subwoofer from SVS (SB1000 Pro) that is actually connected to my AV receiver Yamaha AV RX-A880 through LFE. No problem here and I am very happy with the result, this is a solid subwoofer.

I would like to test now a bit more on the High (speaker) Level connection but in spite of me looking a bit around on how to do the connection, I am still unclear (and I don't want to damage anything.

Here the back of the AV Receiver where the speaker slots for Surround, Center and Front (the all 3 from the left) are taken by my actual system.

Now some Questions I have (sorry if this is really noob ones):
1) For a High Level input connection, can I connect the subwoofer to the L and R of the Extra SP2 (surround back ect...) of my AV Receiver? Will that work?
2) If no, can you please guide me on how to do it?
3) From your experience is it possible to keep the LFE and the High level connected in the same time and switch whether I listen to music or watch a movie? May that lead to damage either o the Sub or to the AV Receiver?
