subwoofer cable

I was just wondering if I need a subwoofer cable or will normal speaker cable suffice. (I have some uplfoc vandamme cable.)

You will need a dedicated sub cable, a single phone/RCA Cable will be good but dont spend silly money. Qed are very good and there is a good choice, Assuming you have a sub of course you dont say what you actually have????...in your question

Very true but it doesn’t look like he had to, it says he has Tannoy HTS 101's in his signature, which I believe is a 5.1 system unless I’m very much mistaken. This includes an active subwoofer rated at 100 watts.

I have the tannoy hts 101's which comes with a sub rated at 100w

Would I be able to make my own subwoofer cable out of the cable I have and attach some phono connectors to the end?

If that is possible what connectors doess everyone recommend
