I have just bought the Onkyo 606 and a set of Jamo A102 5.1, I find the sub woofer too boomy and intrusive, how do i turn it down to be less intrusive; i have turned down the adjustments on the sub woofer box to minimum but it is still too loud. Any ideas

You should be able to turn the Sub channel down on the Onkyo.

You may also find that the boomy-ness is due to the sub playing stuff too high up the frequency range.

The Onkyo menu should tell you in the speaker set-up segment what the cut-off is and what the level is. Drop one down, then the other, until you find a sound which is more natural.

If the adjustments haven't helped, as already mentioned, try pulling it out from the wall a little. If this doesn't help either, it could be down to the fact it is a budget sub, and there amy not be much you can do about what it is doing. In this case, a better built and higher quality sub may be needed.
