STR2400ES AND TANNOY TS300 SUB LOW VOLUME HUM

I have the above set up and at low volumes notice there is a constant and noticable humming noise from the sub to the extent the wife keeps thinking a car is running outside. I have tried various adjustments but it never goes away. Is this normal and something i have to live with or is there a possible fault ?

If the sub hums when it's disconnected from the amp, it could be faulty. It could be a ground loop issue, do a google search on "solving ground loop" and you should be able to read more about it and how to diagnose it.
