sr5004 with cd6003 dont work

I have them connected using coax digital lead.Av input cd and digital socet 2,cd player set to digital on.No sound ,any ideas?

Not sure if your sr5004 has the same functions as my sr7005 but is your AV set to digital and not analogue/HDMI/multichannel ??

Yes it seems so...On av display it shows cd - dig2 , no data though?In the main on screen menu also shows digital input assing. I am totally lost here. I've gone through manual couple of time but no avail.

Got it sorted out finally . I was messing about with inputs and other things and just relized that usb playback doesnt work for some reason , which is what i had on at the time of testing connection. I changed to just cd playback and it works now. How weird ?!

Usb playback is out then which is what i wanted

Can you go into your av menu, information, audio input signal to check if a signal is bein received ??

I will call marantz during week to ask them about usb playback from cd player through av , unless someone knows why it doesn't output sound in that mode.
