It is a shame this got a little silly. Dale as you can see I have a few people who back me on this and I said I would let others be the judge of whether I was bad mannered. Its clear now that only you felt i was .

It felt like a bit of a personal attack if I am honest which is a shame. Like someone else has said I have always respected your opinion on headphones and unbeknown to you I seek out your you tube reviews and the amazon reviews as they are excellent and always thorough and informative. My knowledge of headphones and hifi is limited I admit so I use forims to get information. I would never and have never dissed HPs. Nor have I ever dissed anyone on the internet. Infact its a pet hate of mine . faceless keyboard warriors. I still have no idea why you took my post so badly

It would br nice to get an apology........but either way lets leave it at this, and no hard feelings. I am sure you will help me out in the future when I have a headphone queery.

"....a few people back me on this...."

well, if that were relevant, then how about the people who backed putting Mandela in jail, or some of those Russian guys? You need to read a book on logic so you can understand that you just committed a fallacy.

But if you want to trade apologies, then you apologize for trolling and I'll apologize for hurting your feelings.

Oh yeah, one other thing - this: "....I still have no idea why you took my post so badly..."

I find it difficult to believe that my lengthy explanations fell on deaf ears (well, eyes since this is a virtual environment). I don't see myself taking your post "badly", because that's an emotional response, and I won't accept being accused of having an emotional response. But for the record, since you have "no idea", I'll repeat the principles as I understand them. 1) The original title was bad, but the content not bad enough to lodge a complaint. 2) The followup post (#2 ?) stated that you preferred speakers, but offiered no reason why you would post that. 3) Ignoring any subsequent emotional responses, feelings etc., it's extremely unlikely that posting "I prefer speakers" on a headphone forum would be helpful, unless there were additional helpful information. 4) Once the ball got rolling, and with that bad title behind it, things were bound to get worse. They always do. Probably nearly everyone who could own and play high-quality loudspeakers at audiophile volume levels, at home BTW, would very likely prefer that to listening to headphones at home. But going into that at length on a "versus" thread in the headphone forum accomplishes nothing good but to make people feel (those who feel such things) bad.

I don't tend to get involved with arguments on forums which are just for arguments sake. However I do think that you are now making yourself look a little foolish.

Womaz last comment on this thread was admirable and showed that he has the maturity to let bygones be bygones. He had taken no offence to your personal atack to his harmless post and was willing to let it go.

Since then you have taken the opportunity to make more passive aggressive comments regarding what he originally posted. There is just no need, it's time to let it be. You could of shaken hands (virtually speaking) with Womaz's last post, yet you have retaliated with more negativity.

Also your coment which I've highlighted in bold could be taken more offensively (with your logic) than any of the comments you are complaining about, written by anyone else who only posted their own preference in speakers or headphones thread.

The thread title is not bad, and it doesn't need changed. I don't think the OP would appreciate the title of their thread being changed because one individual is being unreasonable and overly sensitive to the topic, which I'm sorry but you are.

The only person on here trolling is you Dalethon, please stop trying to bully people into posting only what you want to read.

You must be really angry. Go outside and get some fresh air.

I'm not a bad person. I do lots of pro-quality reviews, for free. I follow up on those reviews forever. I answer lots of emails. I'm always helpful and friendly.

But, if you think I'm a bad person, then you need to go find someone who can give you the facts, because you're obviously not looking here. Trolling means trying to start arguments and fights. That's you, not me. I never called the OP names or any of that, I merely pointed out the truth about the 'versus' thing.

So if you can't figure out what a troll is, then I sure can't help you. Maybe instead of venting so much bile here, you should complain to a WhatHiFi administrator. That's the proper procedure.

The first post is asking for help in should he buy a speaker set up or a headphone set up. Therefore any posts selling the virtues/negatives of headphones and speakers is justified.
You started trolling by telling Womaz to say nothing on this forum, or what he could or couldn't post on this forum.Even when he tried to be polite back, you still attacked him. You accused him of making “a negative swipe at headphones” not trueAlso said this,“No, it's only you who thinks it's OK to come to a headphone enthusiast forum specifically to diss headphones.”Um i reread his post's, nothing of the sort was ever said. Then when anyone points out your behaviour is not nice and unjustified , you take offence and attack that person. What right do you have to tell anyone what to post on this forum, this is a forum for all, not just you.I'm writing this because you a bully and i don't like bullying behaviour. N[new=""]ot because I'm “really angry”, [/new]“Maybe instead of venting so much bile here, you should complain to a WhatHiFi administrator. Well, only one thing is certain - you're the angry little troll who just keeps whining and whining. You must be a Democrat (or whatever the equivalent is in Britain). You can continue your disinformation campaign here in the vain hope that you can convince someone else that they should get angry like you, about the nonsense you're spewing, but eventually people will catch on that your original post count was very low, so it's pretty obvious you're a troll. Now go get a real job, and remember that your accusations say a lot more about YOU than me. And you know nothing about me.

Your reply seems just a little angry to me, I'm not angry just a little bemused.

Not trying to get a disinformation caompain going, people on here are intellect enough to read the thread and come to there own conclusions.

Also if you read my other posts theres no signs of trolling, just talk about hi-fi.

All I've done on this post, along with some other user's is point out your irrational overeaction to a post from a user.

Most people who have tried to reason with you, have done so in a poilte and thought out manner. Manly because you have contributed a lot of help to the people here.

But your replys have been nothing but argumentative and hostile.

I do understand no one likes to be attacked and I appreciate that calling you a bully would get anyone back up and escalate the discussion. (so maybe im guity of trolling on that count) But thats how you come across and i pointed it out in the hope you would see how your posts read.

All i done is lay out the facts,

I would say more but its like *dash1*

I think you are correct in that it's there for all to see who has been disrespectful.

Sometimes it is best to just move on and focus on the other threads. It is a shame as likei said previously I have always respected Dale on his headphone posts. it is easy to be disrespectful on the Internet as you never have to face them.

I appreciate the people who have defended my post. Much appreciated

The entire issue is simple - one or two people who saw my first post had knee-jerk (wrong, bad) reactions, and they (you?) filled this thread with a lot of angry accusations, creating a very hostile environment here on WhatHiFi. The point is, you should have taken your complaints to an admin instead of driving so many people away with your false and angry retorts. Now is the time to confess that it was never about helping WhatHiFi - it was about your own personal pride. The number of people who "back" you is a logical fallacy - look it up.

Hopefully this means that you're letting go and returning control of the forum to WhatHiFi customers. I worked in retail - managed HP computer stores in Santa Monica, Encino, and Beverly Hills for several years. We had an occasional cranky customer who would feel that they weren't getting the attention they deserved, and while we couldn't always please everyone, we always stood by our policy that "everyone is a customer to someone", even fellow employees to each other within the company. So by staying focused on that, we could always ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction in our business.

I see the WhatHiFi headphones forum the same way - a great opportunity to serve WhatHiFi's headphone customers, and hopefully those who just can't be satisfied will find the support they need in other forums, or better yet, other subforums at WhatHiFi.

For someone who throws arond the word troll, your sure doing a lot of it.

You seem determined to have the last word, as if that makes you right.

I dont care where you worked, as your people skills are non event.

Let hope for the sake of your customers, your customer skills were better.

Or is that why you no loger work in retail,

After all, the customer is always right, Unless they talk to you.

Then I'm guessing they go somewhere, where they not attacked for expressing different opinion, which is relevant to the discussion.

Well, the pot calls the kettle black. What a phony you are!! And the reason I'm no longer in retail is simple - I have all the money I need, so I'm onto helping people for free. Something you wouldn't understand.

Hey - here's another idea for you. Start answering some user questions here. If you don't know the answer, do some research (google is your friend) and find the answers, then help the customer. You'll learn a lot about headphones along the way, and you won't be so angry because you'll be helping people instead of just staring in the mirror.

The only person on here angry is you, you were attacking a member for no reason.

I pointed out your bulling behavior and you didn't like it.

Your main argument for your issue, is because this is a sub forum for headphones on a hi-if forum, you can only talk about headphone's on here.

If you say you prefer speakers your trolling, because you not allowed to voice that opinion according to you.

Even if the thread is asking for a opinion on a headphones or a speakers set up,

Daniel asked for the Best bang for buck on the two options he gave,

Womaz said for him its speakers every time.

You called him out and said "Posting that you prefer speakers in a headphone forum is bad manners."

But YOU said in an earlier post in a answer to the same question.

" I'd still vote for the speakers. Why is because room-filling sound has pleasures that simply cannot be replicated with headphones."

WTF You call out Womaz out for saying the same thing as you said earlier .

I think you must have some other issue with him, Nothing else makes sense.

But you think you have the right, to tell people what they can post on here. (even if you post the same thing)

You notice nobody ruinng to your defence here.

Maybe its time to end this, as this thread has stopped being useful ,as its just you and me going back and forth.

I'm not going to convince you you were out of line and your not going to convince me, whatever your dissolutional point was.

End of story *dash1*

Dale - FFS give it a rest. You are not a mod, this isn't your forum and you're just coming across like a whiny little brat who can't get his own way. Seriously, the more you keep going on, the worse you are making yourself look.

whf at some point decided to pretty much stop modding these forums, but it doesn't mean that it's up to you to decide exactly what people are allowed to post. At this point *nobody* is agreeing with you or backing you up, doesn't that tell you something? Or do you honestly believe you are right and everybody else is wrong?

Well guys we all know who is in the wrong and who was the insulting party here, but for whatever reason we can't make him see it, or admit to it or apologise for it.

Best just leave it be it is not worth it. The evidence is there for all to see.
