Speakers to go with Onkyo TX-SR 605 ??

Hi , im about to purchase a Onkyo TX-SR 605 but want to know what peoples feelings are on

- the KEF KHT1005.2 (black) 5.1 speakers. ??
- Onkyo DVSP405 DVD player ??

richer sounds are currently offering all three for £800.

Is this a good deal ??
any other reconmendations , advice ??

They are to go with my SKY HD and PS3 and SonyKDLw2000 lcd tv.

Seems good for the money, the 2005.2 would probably make more of the onkyo, plus do you really need a DVD player when you already have a PS3. Also the 606 is out the end of this month...

Agree, I'd be inclined to upgrade the speakers to the KEF 2005.2 or the likes of Tannoy's Mercury F1 Custom (£799).

thanks gents, the current plan is to move the sony dvd player into the bedroom and use the onkyo dvd player in the lounge. ill have a look at those other KEFs now and see what kindd of price i can get them for.

do you know of any problems with the KEF1005.2s ???

hang on a minute !! youve just made me realise that the PS3 plays dvds, i thought it only played blueray !! whoops !! so as you say, i dont need the new dvd player , ill buy the amp and then do more research on the speakers ! thanks for the pointer !

Got to agree, i'd consider the extra outlay and go for the Tannoy package any day over the KEFs. If you have the space that is...

space is a bit of a problem which is why i need some smaler satelite types, cheers
