Hey to all! I'm Davide and I'm writing from Italy.
As written in the title, I'm looking for a suggestion for a pair of speakers for my Marantz PM-8003. I'm more likely into floor standing speakers since I have space for them but, if it can be a better choice, no problem to go with a pair of bookshelf also.
My little Hi-Fi corner is around 5/6 m2 but it's, as I said, a corner of my living room (about 40 m2) so it's not a "closed space"; I'm looking to something neutral because I like to play different music genres, from rock to classical, I would love something with a little more bass.
In the net few days I'll go to some hi-fi shops near me but in the meanwhile I would love to know your opinion too.

Thanks to all!🍻

If you want floor standing then get 3 way speakers. A good buy second hand is the B&W 683 series 2. Expect to pay around Euro 900. They are absolutely amazing and great value at this price point. Read the reviews, they are incredible speakers ! A decent alternative would be a second hand pair of Dali Suite 1.5 speakers. They are 2.5 way, much smaller floor standing speakers, and very good. Second hand around Euro 300 - but make sure they come with the spiked floor mounting rails.

If you're looking for meaty bass, Fyne Audio F501E are very good, priced around £900 in the UK, may cost you a little more in Italy.
Also consider Q Acoustics 5050, these probably have better balance and clarity.

IMO they are both poor value for money compared to second hand B&W 683 Series 2. Thanks for the sponsored response. Being paid to offer poor advice should not be allowed.

Sponsored by whom? In my opinion the B&W's are subpar.
However, the OP needs to find speakers that go well in his room rather than attempting to pair them with an amplifier.....
EDIT: still awaiting my Ferrari....

When you get the F40 you can give the OP a lift home with his speakers. Make sure you get the roof rack option

What a strange comment 🤔
He's no more 'sponsored' than you are Alex 😉
Funny how he tagged the sites 2 main speaker recommendations. IMO you would be a mug to buy either but that depends on where you are in your Hi-Fi journey. Much better can be got if you look. Just saying....

If you check out some other posts, you'll see Jasonovich regularly shares links from all sorts of different sites. He's a friendly & helpful chap.

Although now I wonder how many private jets he's bought after recommending different things to me...

Alex is quite new on the forum, it might have been his initial impression but that's OK
Both AI and I was racing our Ferraris on the circuit.
It was a laugh and we're good now, 😉
