Marantz pm 6005 broken optical port

I have Marantz PM 6005 amplifier which has a broken optical port. I cannot get a lead into this. I used this for connecting to LG TV and having sound through separate speakers.
Would anyone have suggestion for alternate connection from the the tv to amplifier?

Your Marantz amp should have a coax connection, if your TV is absent of a Coax input........................Never fear, Jason is here to assist! 😉

You need one of these Coax to SPDIF converter, these are fairly cheap on Amazon.

The output optical Toshlink to TV and Input from amp Coax. This should do the trick.

When you had the optical connection, the Marantz was the output and the TV was the input.
The converter is the middleman, literally.

In this scenario, you use the Marantz coax output (instead of optical) to the Converter input, and, the Converter you output the optical to the TV input

No, the reverse. The Marantz has 2 digital inputs only, a optical and a coax. No digital out.
So TV > SPDIF over optical > converter to SPDIF electrical > coax input on amp.
