Speakers in NZ

Hi all. So recently purchased an onkyo 609. The next thing is going to be speakers.

I currently have a pair of wharfdale diamond 9.1 and am now looking for a 5.1 set to complement the 9.1 or use instead, ideally a bookshelf system to get them past the boss.

In NZ there are less options but have found wharfedale DX1 set for $500 NZ, the q acoustics q7000 are $1800.

Are the q's three times as good?

Is there anything else in NZ I may be missing?
