Speakers for Pioneer VSX-1018

I have just ordered a VSX-1018 AV receiver to go with a Pio BDP-51 and Pio PDP-4280XD TV. Can anyone recommend surround sound speakers to suit this set up? I am looking for stylish speakers, the smaller the better. Bose Acoustimass cubes would suit the style requirement well, but there appears to be a lot of adverse comment about their performance. Is there something else that can be recommended with attractive styling (maybe even if a bit bigger) but better performance?

Kef KHT2005.3 or the KHT3005SE, attractive looking speakers with ever so much better sound than the Acoustimass speakers.
