Hi

Over the past few years I have been gradually upgrading my system starting at the source and finishing at the speakers. Finally I am looking to upgrade my speakers.

My system consists of the following:

Townshend Rock 7, RB301, Lyra Delos, EAR 834P, EAR 834L, Croft Acoustics Series 7 power amp and MA S1 speakers.

The characteristics of the upgraded speakers, in comparison to the MA, would need to have a larger soundstage, more focus and a less bright top end. My budget is around £1K, and my room size is approximately 15ft by 12ft.

Any thoughts

Cheers

I heard some Audiovector s1 signatures and they're fast and precise with a very wide soundstage. Might be a challenge to find, though they've been superceded by the S1i and you never know, you might pick up a ex-demo pair for around 1K. Very clean/clear sound.

Audio Physik are also known for their good imaging/soundstage.
