Speaker upgrade time - help!

I have a new amplifier: Sony taf 500 es and can't help feel it could run some speakers better than my AE Evo3s.

I am looking for ideas of speakers that will be a step up from these. I am preferring second hand... more bang for the buck.

So far I am looking at mordaunt short ms 25i pearl editions and mission 752. Are there any other gems out there that I should consider to get the best out of my amp

Both the models you mention are superb and come from a bit of a golden period for affordable British speakers. For me, the rather special 752s edge it, but make sure you go for the original version rather than the later 752 Freedom.

Steer clear of freedoms - got it.

Any other suggestions maybe something from the same era from Wharfedale, AE or Kef? Do any of these manufacturers have similar speakers that stand the test of time?
