Hi Everyone

Has anyone used van damme cable 1.5mm for their rear speakers? (or their front) if so, could you please say if it is any good, would this cable be better than say qed original or micro. The reason for asking is that I would like to change the existing cable on a home cinema system but in order to follow the contours of the room the lenght will be somthing like 18 to 20 meters so I suppose I am also looking/asking for any suitable cable suggestions, can anyone help?

thank you

I would go for at least 2.5 mm2 for that size of run. (If you have high power amplifiers and speakers then go for 4 mm2)

Van Damme cable is used in professional music studios, so will be all that you will need for your system.

Hope this helps

I've seen a few speaker cable calculators about the web. You input some known stats from your speakers plus the length you need to the cable to be and it gives you a recommended thickness.
