Speaker Cable/Interconnect Upgrade

I ordered my nice new Moon cd-1 and i-1 on saturday which will arrive sometime this week.

As a result of this, and moving the room round i need some new speaker cable (and possibly interconnects). While i'm not a cable sceptic, i do think that there come's a point where it makes little difference so am looking for reccommendations for reasonably priced cables to use.

I have some Chord odyssey 2 on loan from the shop at the moment which i need to compare with the cheap gale cable and qed silver anniversary cable i have but at £20/m (or £16 online) this is getting up to what i would reasonably pay.

In the demo they used Chord Chorus 2 (I think, about £225) interconnects and i think the epic speaker cable (£40/m).

Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives? I was wondering about the rumour 2 or the Atlas Hyper 2 (i think).

Also can anyone suggest an upgrade to the Linn Black interconnects i currently use?

I went from Rumour 2 to Odyssey (4) and I won't be going back. Because I only need 2m pair, I would have gone for the Epic but it's a brown colour and would stand out a bit. I have the Chorus 2 (XLR) and it's brilliant.

If I were you, and you were happy in the demo room, I'd copy their set up. You can pick up Chord Epic on Ebay for far less than £40 per m and all you need to do is add some banana plugs.

thanks, had a look last night and there look to be some decent offers.

Even the Chorus 2 is not too bad second hand.
