Sony to offer trade-in on older BD players

Just seen a report on another site that "Sony is planning to offer a trade-in scheme targeting Blu-ray Disc player owners later this year."

No details as yet, but apparently the plan is to help encourage people to buy newer Sony players - part of the 3D push I suspect.

WHF Team heard anything about this?

that might be a handy way of getting a cheap sony 3dbd player , to show off my panasonic kuro 3d tv (thats gonna be miles cheaper and likely better than the sony one )

may be they will take in sony tv's may be then i may by a 3d tv after all what im i suppose to do with the 46 lcd tv i have ..put in the bedroom ..well no its too big and selling it on ebay could do that for peanuts and lose loads of hard earned cash.

one can just hope ;-)
