Sony STR-DH810 - sound delay

I have a Sony STR-DH810 with an LG 50PK990 TV, Boston Acoustic XS 5.1 speakers and VirginHD+ box plugged into it.

When watching ordinary telly there is a noticeable delay in picture compared to sound - the news reader's lips, for example, are a fraction of a second behind the spoken news. Any idea how I get rid of this?

Hi, try turning the HDMI control off, on the 810, this sometimes causes problems, if this does not work go to the sound settings in the V+ box, there should be an option in there for audio delay, keep adjusting it until your happy.

You could try A/V SYNC in the setting menu. Adjusts from 0-300ms in 10ms increments. Page 82 in the manual.
