Hi

I've been racking my brain on the bit where WHF say

"If you opt to use the Pro Logic IIz processing you can switch the surround back channels for front height speakers"

"or you can ditch both and bi-amp the front left and right speakers instead"

Could someone please explain the second quote for me please?

If you're running a 5.1-channel set-up, you can reassign the surround back channels to work with the front left and right channels to biamplify suitable speakers (ie those designed for biwire/biamp operation)
 
Im not a expert but I think this might be where you have front 2 x L & R speakers situated like below

FL C FR

SUB

FL> <FR

BL> <BR
 
No, single speakers on front L+R, but each with one amp channel driving the bass, and another channel driving the treble.
