Sony STR-DA3400ES No sound or Video via HDMI

Hi Guys New to the site

Have just purchased and set up this amp. Using a Tosh HDDVD XE1 connected to the amp via HDMI and HDMI out to TV

Cannot get sound from amp/speakers and no video on TV ( The GUI guide appears on TV ok )

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong. The XE1 works fine on its own direct to TV and did also via my previous amp ( Sherwood ) although that just put the video through to the TV

All else works fine

Sounds like you need to assign the HDMI cable in the sony amp.
