Hi,

Can anyone assist before I consider having to get this TV repaired.

Recently, when I turn on my TV, the picture seem to "ghost". I read up on ghosting to find that this term is only referred to when you are watching TV through an analogue signal but to try and give you all an understanding of the problem, this is the best way to describe it. This ghost effect appears on every channel and also when I am reviewing the system setting (which wouldn't rely on a signal at all). This distortion disappears after 30secs - 5 mins but its starting to bug me!

Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so, how did they get it fixed?

if its under warranty then its up to the shop or seller you bought it from to fix it ,or replace it , id ring them straight away , this type of problem will probably get worse , i have a panasonic plasma that very occasionally wouldnt turn on , maybe once every month , now its every second day , and the shop i bought it from are sending it to be repaired ..

Was having a hunt around and found that my warrenty expired last week!

Has anyone had to get their TV repaired and if so, how much did it cost?

It could be a whole range of things so the best thing would be to contact your local authorised Sony repair agent to get some idea of possible issues and potential charges. It won't necessarily be anything expensive.
