Hi all,

Just bought the above blu-ray player, alot of settings to play with, any tips

to what to select for the best pic / sound?

HDMI, with for sound, the BD Audio setting (p57 of the manual) on 'Direct' rather than the default 'Mix' - you can then get bitstreamed HD digital audio for your AV receiver ( if you have one) to decode, rather than PCM. The default is on 'Mix' to allow audio commentaries to be heard over the film if it is available on particular disc .Not something I have ever used.
