Oppo is a universal player so why will they be reeling? I certainly don't spend money on a new piece of equipment everytime something better comes anyway, couldn't afford to! If you're happy with what you've got thats all that matters.

...... until another blu-ray player comes along in a matter of a couple of months and de-thrones the Sony. Panasonic has been rather quiet lately

Sony no doubt makes excellent players, but why should Oppo fan boys reel? Both are completely in a different league. Oppo makes universal players. Also, if you read that review, they've clearly mentioned not to rush ditching your existing player for the Sony because the quality improvement is hardly noticeable.

The one thing this Sony player has achieved, is a unanimous verdict that it is one of the best players (or probably the best) available in the market today. Good to see Sony back in the league amongst the best.

To be fair to Will, even he honestly conceded later that he could not notice any difference between the Oppo & the Sony S350.
