Sony BDP S550 - keeps stopping

I have a problem with my Sony BDP S550, it keeps stopping about 30 minutes into a film. I have tried different BD's and still seems to happen. Any advice, before I take it back to John Lewis - its still in warranty.

hi, try to check your software version of your BD player. Check the sony website for information how.

i had the same problem with my BDP-S300. Newer BD disc's stopped or would not pas the menu secion.

I updated my software (old version on the player 3.1) by the new version witch I downloaded from the site version 5.1. My player loads now 'more' quickly and the newer BD disks does not fail anymore.
