Sony 40W3000 or Samsung 40F86

Hi all im just about to return my 5th faulty Samsung 40F86 and was think of changing to the sony 40w3000 or would i be better off waiting for the new Samsung range to come out any help please regards Anthony

Well we've tested the Sony head-to-head against the Samsung in a 37-40in TV Supertest, in the April issue, out next Thursday....

As an owner of the Sony, I'd say Sony. However, you need to be aware that there are some Sony sets out there that suffer from a colour issue, where purple/green hues are displayed instead of grey/black shades - because of this, mine is going back and will hopefully be replaced by a X3000. Saying that, I understand that there are plenty of issues with the Samsungs too.

Probably hasn't helped you much, but all I will finally say is that a non faulty W3000 has a superb picture, especially when displaying HD.
