I have about 1k to 1.5k USD to spend in an audio setup for my small living/dinning room mostly to stream tidal or other online hi fi sources, eventually want to buy a vinyl player, apart from a couple nice headphones and headphones DAC/AMP combo that I keep connected to my laptop I have no other equipment. But I wanna start buying.
I want something easy on the eyes but with good audio quality and I am facing the dilema to invest in a sonos ecosystem or go to something more traditional like a wireless receiver plus some nice bookshelf speakers like Bowers & Wilkins.
What do you recommend?

If you're planning on a multiroom setup, Sonos is an excellent choice. If you're planning to add components like vinyl player etc, going traditional route will be better. You can always go traditional and add Sonos Port to it, although there will be cheaper options (amp with built-in network streamer).

If by 'easy on the eyes' you mean 'minimalist' you could look at the Bluesound Powernode. Covers all your streaming requirements... just add speakers as your budget allows.

It kills about 60% of the budget, where should I spend more? in the Bluesoudn or the speakers?
