Sonos repair

My Sonos ZP has developed a fault. It works for 2-5 seconds then volume reduces to hardly anything.
Sonos will repair it. It is over 6 years old. Has anybody else used their repair service?

No but if anyone can fix it properly you'd expect it to them. I understood they typically just swap it out for another one (at a cost obviously).
