Hello, I'm sure that you've all been asked this before. Space is tight in my place, so I've decided on a Solo mini as the heart of my new system. Different places are suggesting different speakers; so far I've been recommended: B&W686, Arcam Muso, Dali Lektor 1 or 2, Quad 11L2 or AVI Neutron 5. My music tastes are fairly conservative - female vocals, think Eva Cassidy. Which of these are worth an audition? Anything else worth adding to the list?

Well the Neutron V does female vocals very well. Smart money is on the Dalis though - Lektor 1 at a guess, given space tightness.....

I'd avoid the Quads. They need disproportionately good amplification to sound their best, and even then they don't really convey the full tone and expression of the human voice so not ideal for your favoured music.

...ALTHOUGH, if you can find a decent pair of the original 11Ls it would be worth an audition. They are, IMO, better than the 11L2s...
