On my amp my speakers are set to small for 5.1 (kef eggs) .Can i set to large ? Will this make the sound change? Or do any harm to my system! Like to have a play with the 2month old amps setting but i dont know how to try different tweaking! Yamaha RX-V667 and kef 2005.3k2 speakers

Definately set to small, they cannot reach the levels of your sub and could cause some damage at high volume levels.

The KEFs aren't really full range speakers, so small is probably the better setting but try it on large and see what you think, I wouldn't be turning it up too far though...

Yes you can. Yes, it'll make the sound worse, and potentially damage the speakers.

One thing not mentioned so far - setting your sers to small is half of the job - you then need to set the crossover point. You can still damage them if they're set to small if the crossover point is set to 40Hz. Depending how loud you want to play them, you can experient with the crossover point between about 80Hz and 120Hz.

Hi I have eggs and a yammy amp, set all spkrs to small and xover to 80htz, I then used an Spl meter to get all spkrs playing 75db to my listening point. I have volume to around -10 watching Blu-ray when Mrs Stagg is not around and -25 in eves when she is. Hope this helps
