Slow startup turntable.

This might seem like a stupid question to somebody in the know, but my Rega Planar 2 sounds like the belt is slipping when it starts up. I have replaced the belt but it is still happening. Any ideas?

Could be a sticky bearing, could be a dirty pulley

rega's are known for this at start up,give the platter a little nudge as soon as the motor kicks in this should stop the motor from juddering,as long as the belt does not slip off it should be ok.check to see if it's ok on 45 if it still happens the motor may need to be realigned which is a simple job for your dealer to undertake but i wouldn't worry to much about it.
