Sky + not working via HDMI to TV

Brought a LG 42LH5000 and cannot get the TV to show anything via HDMI, I know that cable has to be version 1.3 and not sure what the cable is, came with sky box ?

The box is working with scart so should I get a new cable and try or am I being an idiot and missing something ?

The cable that came with the Sky box should work, unless, ofcourse, if it's faulty. Contact Sky if trying with a different HDMI cable doesn't work.

try another hdmi cable if that doesnt work try another source such as a blu ray player dvd player with hdmi it may be the tv as my last tv suffered this problem where nothing worked by hdmi when i tryed another tv with hdmi it was ok so it was the tv at fault, Luckly the tv was changed by the shop and i got the sony 46 inch lcd which is superb no problems since then.
