Hi all. I was thinking about getting Sky TV up in the bedroom. I already have Sky HD in the downstairs living room. I have two options: first option is to get my self a video sender for around £50 and use that, but I have heard that video senders are subject to interference from cordless phones, wi-fi etc, so not very keen on that idea. Second option would be to get sky multi room. Problem is that sky charge £60 installation fee and £10 extra on top of my existion subscribtion, plus I have to have a telephone line conected. Sky+ would have been my chosen option. Would be grateful if any one who has used video senders could give some advice on the quality of the picture and what are there thoughts and opinions on which would be the best option for me.

Have you thought about just using coax cable from the RF2 socket on your sky box to the bedroom TV. You can then add a 'remote eye' to your bedroom TV and have full remote control over your living room Sky box. Total price for this, probably just over a tenner!

The above works well for me but you will only be able to watch the same programme upstairs as you are watching downstairs. If that's a problem, you will need Sky multiroom.

Hi DJ, i've just installed a sky box into my daughters bedroom, got it secondhand( plus card) and a sky remote from e-bay for £6 including delivery, all i did was run coax from the dish to her bedroom and including setup took 1 hour, hey presto, multiroom.

Hope this helps

Alan
