hello av'is. a little help needed here.just ordered sky hd and have allready 605 and jamo a102's but my screen allthough has a lovely picture is getting dated. the screen is a hitachi 42pd5200 and has no opt in or hdmi just dvi. i am currently saving for a 47 or 52w4000 but in the meantime what will be the best way for sound. i will not want surround sound all the time who wants the news in dolby?

is it best to use hdmi from box to receiver then use left and right out to screen or use the component out and L/R FROM BoX TO RECEIVER. i think i did read in the manual that the onk would put sound through direct to the screen. any ideas i will read the manual AGAIN...THANX stu

Trying to get my head around it, but I think I'd be running HDMI via a DVI adapter straight from the Sky HD box to the TV, optical audio out from the box to the receiver and analogue audio out from the box to the TV. Think that should work...

If you wanted you could route the HDMI via the receiver, but I don't see much advantage in doing so.
