Sky HD 1TB-Optical or Co-axil?

Hi,

I have just recieved my new 1TB box which is replacing my 2 year old Thompson box. I notice that the new box is capable of passing the sound to my amp via Co-axil as well as optical. Is there any benefit in changing from optical to co-axil for a better sound?

In the Wht Hi Fi jargon buster they rate Coax just better than Optical

I can't tell any difference in sound quality, but Co-axil doesn't fall out all the time.

? I've never known an optical cable to fall out!

Having just spent 50euro on a TCI coral optical I have to say that I am a little concerned that I can't seem to get a good tight fit with it into my Cambridge Audio 640R from my Sky HD box and it does easily pull out !! It is definately connected proprerly but doesn't seem to click into position and I have to agree that the Coax option will be the way I am going...anyone in the market for a new optical cable??!!
